How did religion impact Roman Empire?

Religion impacted Roman Empire by killing many people but still people success. By having Christianity as  a main religion. First it started with Jewish people that wanted to have monotheism, but Romans told them to practice polytheism. Usually it depends on their emperors. Some were softer and some were more harsh. Softer emperors let people worship a god that they believed but also worship their gods too.

Still Christian people wanted to practice monotheism. Soldiers and town people kept on killing them until Emperor Constatine came and let people worship any god they wanted to. Rome started to be become more peaceful than it was.
